| 21/05/1983: 10th anniversary of commissioning of BMICH - Delegation from China arrives on May 29 |
| The Government of the People’s Republic of China will send a Ministerial delegation to Sri Lanka to participate in the tenth anniversary celebrations of the commissioning of the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall. |

The delegation, which will arrive in Sri Lanka on Sunday May 29, will be led by Mr. Li Xiang, Minister of Urban and Rural Construction and Environmental Protection of the Government of China and will consist of high-ranking officials of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Aid and Urban and Rural Construction of the Chinese Government.
During their stay in Sri Lanka the visiting Minister and his delegation will call on President J.R. Jayawardena and Mr. A.C.S. Hameed, Minister of Foreign Affairs. The Minister of Foreign Affairs will also host a banquet in honour of the visiting delegation.
